Products

Our navigational products, constructed to provide years of continuous operation in extreme offshore conditions, remote and harsh environments of deserts, equatorial jungles, and polar regions, lead the industry. All Southern Avionics' new product development is achieved in-house and is facilitated by the latest in computer hardware and software innovations.
Our NDBs are found around the globe at airports and on off-shore rigs and are also widely used by boats with hazardous materials for navigating narrow channels and congested harbors requiring exceptional accuracy. Crew boats and research/exploration vessels often rely on SAC systems for pinpointing their exact location. Installing a NDB (Non-Directional Beacon) is the least expensive way for small airports, offshore platform rigs, and small harbors to provide an instrument approach.

Our Couplers, built for the highest quality of antenna tuning, are all encased in heavy-duty weatherproof enclosures designed for outdoor and/or offshore environments that meet or exceed IP66 standards.
SAC Antennas are used around the world on drilling rigs and platforms, at small airports and remote landing strips, and at ports because they are manufactured under the highest quality standards.
If none of our systems are an exact match for your needs, our engineers can design a custom solution to give you the perfect equipment for a specific project.

About NDBs...
A Non-Directional Beacon, or NDB, is a radio broadcast station in a known location, used as a navigational aid. NDB usage is standardized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). NDBs are assigned ICAO-standard three-letter identifications which are broadcast in Morse Code to allow the user to identify the station. NDBs are the most widely-used navigational aid in the world today.
